Launch of Ekal Yuva
The National Launch of Ekal Yuva took place in an august and youthful gathering by the Hon’ble Defence Minister of India, Mrs Nirmala Sitharaman. The event started with the auspicious Ganesh Vandana, followed by the Lighting of the lamp ceremony in front of the beautifully painted picture of Bharat Mata, made by an Ekal Student of Village Ahilyapura. The National chairperson, Neha Mittal gave the welcome address and showcased an audio visual about Ekal as well as the newly formed Ekal Yuva activities. Then the Ekal Vidyalay children from Sendhwa Anchal performed bal geet and gave a demo of their learning. This really had a great impact on the chief guest as well as the audience. Up next was the most awaited moment of the evening, the ceremonial launch of the Ekal Yuva Emblem, followed by badge distribution by the Defence minister to the respective Ekal Yuva team representatives from Chennai, Hyderabad, Mumbai, Bhopal and Indore. It was a moment of great pride for all team heads to receive a badge from Nirmala Sitharaman on the stage in front of a gathering of 700 people. We got to listen to the Defence Minister and her speech was so inspiring and came straight from her heart. Education has always been her passion and she was highly impressed by the work of Ekal and the teaching technique of the Ekal Acharya. The program ended gracefully with the vote of thanks followed by the National Anthem.
A full house auditorium consisting of 500 youth from various colleges of Indore along with members of Ekal Yuva from the different cities were present. 200 invitees,which included members of Ekal, FTS and Mahila Samiti from Indore as well as Mumbai, Delhi and Chennai along with people from different walks of life from Indore. Great media coverage was received and the launch became the talk of the town, which helped in achieving the objective of creating awareness in a huge way.
